On Wednesday Google has officially added statistics for the +1 button to the Webmaster Tools they offer. A nice discussion is floating on Webmasterworld: [

So, having a lot of +1s will probably help the product to rank. Also, you may want to add the +1 button on your own homepages, if you use our widgets to sell.
I am not too engaged with the social media hype, but if it helps ranking it is worth a shot. Add facebook "Like" and +1 on your pages, post here if you need some help with implementation so we can provide it publicly!
