Message when updating existing listing with new file

Hey guys today I started getting the message 'File seems to exist in the catalog already, so it will not be promoted on tradebit... You can link and sell, though!' when I updated an existing listing with a newer version of the pdf file. I made some improvements to the file and uploaded the file and kept the same file name. Can you tell me what this message means?

I got the same message too when I was updating a file and saving it, no others have listed that file. I think this has got to be the new Duplicate Finder software that tradebit has just released, and this error seems to be a bug in the s/w. But I would have to state that though that message was displayed, the file still gets listed in the tradebit catalog, maybe because it is a unique file (unique description and all)

Also Ralf, as I told you by email, some one bought a file of mine for 0 $, when infact I had set the price of the file to x$. Please investigate the issue and let me know.

alright: 2 answers for 2 questions:

a) the dupe file finder is brand new. If you have a file that was filtered out: mail me the URL, so I can look! It is linkable and sellable, just not published in the tradebit catalog...

b) a 0$ sale is most always a re-activated sale... if you look for the buyers email, you will probably find an earlier sale for that customer...

It's even giving the message when creating a new listing that I know nobody else has. It does still seem to be listing them in the search results though

Is the dupe file finder s/w at works even when one updates/edits existing files?? If it is so, wont ppl hesitate to edit/ make changes to their existing files even if there are some obvious wrongs on their existing listings? Just wonder
