selling downloads on ebay

The way it works is like that:

1.) your paypal account has to be
setup to work with tradebit (IPN)

see flash video:
[www.tradebit.com]

2.) Setup auction:
- you upload a product to tradebit
- you sort it and give it a price
- you go to ebay and start your auction for it
- ebay gives you an auction number
- you go back to tradebit and register
that auction with that file, give it a minimum
price.

let me know, if that works!

We have improved that today:

1.) [www.tradebit.com]

2.) are now files recognized by title also! if you have the same title for your ebay files and the files on tradebit, there is no need to register the auctions anymore!

by the way: the ebay export works with the latest turbo lister version and was tested with the US english and the german release!

Just to clarify this, (please correct me if I'm wrong), registering auctions is not necessary if the "auction" name/title is the same as the tradebit "product" name/title. (both which have nothing to do with a "file" name).

absolutly right!

once the file is sorted, the filename does not matter anymore! you could see it, as tradebit having its own file system, that internally works with ID numbers.

ebay auction recognition works with the "title and email compare"...

Strange, but this does not seem to be working all the time. Last weekend, I went through all my files and copied and pasted the titles EXACTLY to the eBay auctions so I would not have to use the auction numbers. Some of my auction items won were deliverd that way, which was GREAT. But today I had two auctions that were won and no Tradebit email was sent out. I had to do manual links later on. I re-checked the titles and they were exact matches. I also checked the PayPal record and my email adress used in the auction is the same one configured in Tradebit.

hi there,

i could look into the communication protocol between paypal and ebay... tradebit gets parameters like:

forauction=true
auctionno=2337262423
status=completed
reciever=you@yourdomain.com
itemname=My-Ebook

tradebit checks the "title" for all products of seller "reciever" ... that could easily be messed up by using a different email address!

Anything yet?

Thinking outside the Tradebit box, most people have more than one email address registered with PayPal. I did not use one of my other email addresses. In my case, I used the email address associated with Tradebit in my auction. That email address shows in my PayPal record and the receipt PayPal for that auction shows and was sent to that very email address. That wound mean eBay and PayPal are communicating very well with me.

As an end user there is nothing I more I can do. Sometimes this same setup works fine and sometimes it does not. If PayPal is sporadically communicating another email address to Tradebit, that sounds like big trouble In PayParadise!

oh, yeah, i forget to tell you!

You should add your second email, which was mentioned in our email communication to your profile as the second email field!

now tradebit looks for both and takes both in consideration!

if download codes still go missing, that must be a spam filter! however these mails MUST reach you in CC!

let me know!

Sorry if this isn't making sense to me but I don't see the logic because, as I said, I am using the one email address that I have configured with Tradebit all the way through my eBay transactions. I don't WANT my other email addresses popping up anywhere.

I am not missing any download codes, jsut not getting a Tradebit email or any transaction record for the item sold on eBay.

I have more than two PayPal email addresses - add them all? Where do I add them? I don't want other transactions pertaining to those email addresses to go to Tradebit. Is that what will happen?

What is CCI and who has the Spam fileter on? I AM getting all the emails from PayPal WITH the email address I use for Tradebit.
