Advanced features for Power Users

Advanced features for Power Users
February 02, 2005 10:24AM
The advanced features for Power Users on tradebit have to be activated manually by my colleagues or myself.

These include:

- EBay Turbo Lister export as CVS

- DRM external tools (PHP available)

- External linking (like you can see in the Games section)

If you want these, drop me an email!

Cheers,
Puzzler
hi puzzler,

could you please activate the "external links" stuff, so I can insert some related products from other vendors, which complete my stuff...

Luv!

Hi puzzler,

I am new to Tradebit, but not to HTML design as you will see from my user area.
I suspect that the Power User features are only available to upgraded members; is this correct? As I thought I would take a year of the 20MB version just to see if Tradebit would be of any real use to me as a hypnotherapist.

I do have one question which may relate to this thread; but I could not get privileges to post it to the FAQ portion. Nor could I find any topic in the FAQ section which matched my query.

I have done a customized page; but all my external links within the HTML when saved and viewed once more in the text editor have a robot follow denial...how do I disable it? I was going to link from my web site to my Tradebit site...but if Tradebit denies me return traffic form web search in reciprocation, that is one-way traffic, and only to Tradebit's advantage; which is a bit unfair I think.

Thanks in advance,
HSUK

hi there,

that posting covers serveral areas, but for the linking: the free accounts do not allow posting of plain links, because we had so many link spammers trying to lure some pagerank away. I can manually give you the power to create html as you like (see acidfanatic.tradebit.com), but not on the free account...

the FAQ is just for the admins (drluv and me), to gather the most important questions over time, the place here is the right one for your question.

blocking link spamming by a nofollow is the only way to get the hords under control ;-)

ok?

the nofollow tag is absolutly a good idea! if you have a full account with tradebit, you can plug in your advertisement in the member area AND get some links from there.... acidfanatic is a good example!
peace,

All right Puzzler...
Link spamming abuse is another matter entirely and I totally understand the nofollow being default.

All I have done is to duplicate in minature the index of my dot-com, and I can get search robot spidering for my main site from too many sources to count. So carry on love, for the good use of Tradebit for all of us.

To the others who may have thought I was being belligerant, one of my other main traffic-driving tools, (Webring.com) will actually delete a one way site as far as navigation goes from its system.

Anything one does to prevent SPAM I have no problems with. I just did some eBay restocking and paid nearly half a year's worth of dedicated server lease, so I am tapped out for now. I will definitely consider a paid membership for next year, however.

Good to see the board is syndicated as well.

I am laughing at myself!

I do believe the person responsible for the auto-formatting must be a member of XFN...(XHTML Friends Network). I knew that coding looked familiar. I am in process of becoming an XFN member myself, via my Blogspot blog.

I will get a new theraputic hypnosis MP3 recorded soon and see your newest post on uploading MP3s, puzzler. You provide a lot of information, and I will make use of it.

As I have only begun the enrollment process (as in developing the proper code set), I have no ID as yet; I am currently tending a loved one who needs oral surgery, so I will not be getting back to serious dev until after Tuesday. By then he should have been referred to the proper caregiver. I tend to submit pre-qualified sites to such communities as XFN, and not join first and code later...lol.

If you will give me your blog's URL, I will be more than happy to blogroll you.
Blogrolls and external links have always been the blogger's best traffic driving tool outside of SES (Search engine submission). And in the case of spiders who will only accept top level domains, the above mentioned are indeed the best friend of the blogger.

You may access my blog either from my Tradebit subdomain [hypnosystemsuk.tradebit.com], or on the following URL:

[hypnoguidance.blogspot.com]

All the best,
HSUK

A bit of a rocky road for the last couple of weeks. Loved one is better, but a bit cranky as he hs been diagnosed with some illnesses that will need dietary supervision.

Server problems have taken my dot-com offline temporarily. I have a mirror site, however. And I just uploaded a newly recorded stress relief MP3 to my Tradebit account and am now ready to go back to blogrolling.

I have also set up an Indie artist site at Audiostreet.net that has the same MP3.

www.audiostreet.net/artist.aspx?artistid=34943

So on to XFN Puzzler...will see you there soon, and thanks for all the tolerance Tradebit has shown me!

Have a great day all,

HSUK
