Tradebit WP plugin Error...

Tradebit WP plugin Error...
May 01, 2011 08:55PM
Hi Friends,
I installed and activated the WP Tradebit plugin, both via FTP and automatically inside my WP admin panel, did it in different blogs from 3.04 to 3.1.2 WP versions and even the successful activation I can't make it work due an error during the registration process.

Inside the Tradebit WP plugin configuration panel I signed in with my Tradebit seller account first and got and error message (atached), after then uninstalled and reinstalled the plug and I tried again, now entering new user values and neither worked... I got the same error message.

Same result in 3.04 and 3.1.2 (latest) WP versions.

Hope someone can advice.
Best for all.
THX

FSnow

hi, the plugin fetches data from tradebit.com with some PHP commands. These seem to be disabled with your host. These are options that have to be enabled in the PHP config or per virtual host in the apache config...

the

include command

opens remote pages and triggers tradebit to do some things. That is a configuration thing on your server. is it your own?

Hi Puzzler,

Well, I have my sites hosted with 1and1. Do you know what I must to do to make the plugin work with this specific hosting provider?

Anyone already using Tradebit WP plugin inside 1and1 hosting can advice me?

BTW puzzler, your plugin is ready to work with the latest version (3.1.2) of WP?

Thx in advance for your orientation.

hi - 1+1 is then disabling the PHP include in their global config.

I am not sure, if you can edit your own virtual host config there? it is possible to OVERRIDE the php setting with
commands in the virtual host config:

php_admin_flag allow_url_include on
php_admin_flag allow_url_fopen on

but that works ONLY in the httpd.conf for the virtual host. You may also try to enable that in a .htaccess file, but that strongly depends on the PHP version used. Do you know, which PHP version is installed?

PHP 5.2.17 I think Ralf... and I installed the lines:

php_admin_flag allow_url_include on
php_admin_flag allow_url_fopen on

inside my .htacces file but I got an error 500 message.

I'm awating the 1+1 support team answer and I'll report you what happened.

Thank you!

Hi again Ralf... I would like to get your confirmation about if the plugin is ready for wp 3.1.2, 'cause if not, there is no case to insist trying to find what the problem in my hosting service is.

I already updated my site to that latest version and if the TBit plugin doesn't works (is works or work? <--- note to self... I'm trying to study English from few weeks now... lol) with it I don't think to get back to 3.04 (your last check up) would be a good idea.

Thank you for your quick responses!

Hi puzzler,

Just to inform you about that I still can't make the pluging to work sad smiley

I followed the instructions that 1+1 support team gave me with no success. Basically they asked me to put those lines that you said me inside the htaccess files but all that I get is a 500 internal error.

Any other suggestion..? Did you already test your plugin in WP 3.1.2?

Cheers.

hi,

well, the remote include is needed for activation :-( sorry for that! And also: the 3.1.2 test has not happened, yet... We will try to speed it up! Can you edit the database of your WP installation? If so, we could manually get it to work via skype!
