The usual suspects and copyrighted files

The usual suspects and copyrighted files

In the past months we have added quite a bunch of files to our watchlist - among those are titles like "Harry Potter" ebooks, O'Reilly eBooks, Microsoft products, adult material in various forms and other files people just love to upload and which are illegal.

So let me post here once more for the people who try it over and over: Sometimes a file slips our attention but sooner or later someone will point it out and then we will delete the whole account, block the email from re-signup and freeze all funds on the account to give it back to the buyers...

Sometimes we look into the file and sometimes it is sooo obviously a copyright violation that we do not even bother to open it. Over time this ramps up a solid database of blocked IPs and keywords which raise a flag in our system. Stay away from such files and you will enjoy a good time on tradebit.

If you publish files with copyright notices IN the file of publishers or copyright notices on the covers, we are not discussing the removal of your account!

There are a ton of people selling Reason ReFills illegally.. they belong to other producers and they just redo the art and sell them as their own. It's very prevalent with the Motif, Triton and Fantom sounds but equally as bad with other ReFills. They're sample packs produced by people in the same way that music is produced and I've been burned more than once by people selling something under a slightly different name than the original, but when I download... sure as hell, it's a copy of something that's not theirs to sell.

Hello there,

I'm new in all of this venture and I uploaded some files and 2 of them came as not accepted, the question is they came from very good reliable sources, and with all the RR rights, how can I avoid such mistakes later, since I want to deliver a good product and establish a good relationship with future customers.

Also....

You guys who know more about this...... when you have a product that can be sold either with Private RR, or MR rights, or R rights..obviously the price for each varies. How do I set up one with the other?..... I hope I made myselg clear, Hope to hear from you. And thanks for your time.
