I wondered if it would be possible to include a 'price nudge' feature on Tradebit? Where you could increase the price of every file you have on sale by a certain percentage or 10 cent increments for example. I ask this because as the years pass and the cost of living slowly increases, I think it's important to increase product prices slightly. But to do this individually with thousands of files wby big-fat-audio - Misc. discussion: PayPal, File hosting, ...
Hi Ralf, I am getting a lot of people that manage to download the artwork only. They get confused because they think it is the file they purchased but actually it's just a tiny thumbnail or cover image. I know that everything is displayed on the download page so that people have the choice to get the album cover as well as the tracks, But maybe it should be made clearer which file is the actuaby big-fat-audio - Misc. discussion: PayPal, File hosting, ...
I understand the difficulties, especially when Paypal disputes are started. But I guess the problem is that unlike a normal store, where goods can be re-sold if they are refunded, these non-tangible goods are still out there. I know that some people take advantage of this and request a refund so that they can keep the file for free. Personally, unless a file is corrupted or the download fails, Iby big-fat-audio - Misc. discussion: PayPal, File hosting, ...
Hi guys, I can't be the only merchant that is getting annoyed with the Tradebit refund policy. It seems that, rather than offer support, you just refund people's money. This seems lazy and wasteful. As you know, there have been a number of occasions where I have solved the customers problems very quickly, yet you guys have fired off a refund a few days later! Hi Ralf, I thought i'd mention that a customer complained about your mailing list today. When they purchased one of my files they received a mailing list subscription email before anything else and immediately assumed they had been duped into a scam and that they would have to click the 'subscribe' link to access their download. Hi Ralf, I uploaded a new picture, then went to the file edit page of the picture I wanted to replace (which appears on every page I have). I then used the 'update with upload' function in the edit page. Sure enough, the file was changed, but now all of my pages have a blank picture at the front end. I thought maybe it would take an hour for the new image to become live, but there is just an eby big-fat-audio - Misc. discussion: PayPal, File hosting, ...
It's ok, I worked it out - you can't do that because the main picture field reverts to blank when the file is deleted, and pages show the thumb nail as the main image by default. It's a shame because it means you have to go through each page and change the main picture manually. A 'replace file' feature would be great! Hi Ralf - am I right in thinking that if I delete my main picture, then upload a new one with exactly the same name, it will appear on every page that showed the old one? Thanks Leighby big-fat-audio - Misc. discussion: PayPal, File hosting, ...
So as I understand it, when somebody buys your file with ebay's 'buy it now' feature, ebay triggers the Paypal payment (redirects the customer to their Paypal account with the product title). Once they have paid, it's the notification email that Paypal sends out that contains the matching product title at Tradebit. Tradebit gets this and generates an access code for that product title which is seby big-fat-audio - Misc. discussion: PayPal, File hosting, ...

Hi Ralf, When you create player code (in the file edit page) the resulting player has "Buy this song" on the right above the windows media player. The link clicks through to the Tradebit page, but for me it is doesn't work when the file is a dog barking etc! As I say, it would be great to either have an option or change it to "Buy this file" which is more universal. By tby big-fat-audio - Misc. discussion: PayPal, File hosting, ...
Hi Ralf, I mentioned this a while back, but the "Buy this song" text above the players doesn't apply to all kinds of content. I sell sound effects and meditations for example, which aren't songs. Maybe if it said "Buy this file" is would suit all kinds of media? Best wishes Leigh Big Fat Audioby big-fat-audio - Misc. discussion: PayPal, File hosting, ...
It would appear that only 96kbps mp3 files are affected in this way. The reason I suggest this is because I have never encoded a file at anything less than a sample rate of 44.1khz. I have had exactly the same problem with a similar player elsewhere and for some reason it just kept speeding the 96kbps mp3's up. I think that when the mp3's are created from the WAV source, some kind of sample rateby big-fat-audio - Misc. discussion: PayPal, File hosting, ...

Hi Ralf, I just wanted to point out a few errors that I have come across: When someone opts to use bank funding with Paypal, this takes up to five days as you know. RE: The new preview player Hey guys, why are some preview files playing fine and others at high speed? All of my preview files are 96kbps mp3's so you would think it would happen to all of them. Hi guys - I am adding players to my website but as i'm dealing with sound effect files, I wonder if there is a way of changing "Buy this song" which appears above the player. Hi Ralf, Here's a typical scenario. Somebody searches for a particular WAV or mp3 on Google and hits a link to one of my files which is on sale at tradebit.com (The best). Hi there, does anyone know how to stop your files being made available as a podcast feed? I've noticed that my 'preview' files are popping up as downloads on sites like Odeo.com. Hi there, I'm new to the site. I stumbled across it whilst searching for a WAV file on Google. I'm really impressed with the facilities on offer - it solves so many problems and has enabled me to sell audio content from my own website which is great.
