The band to put Goth back in the mainstream “Meltdown magazine”

The most glorious voice in Goth music “ Meltdown magazine”

The Faces of Sarah were formed in the summer of 1998 in London, UK. In October of that year, after successful gigs in London, The Faces of Sarah ventured into the studio to record the self-financed "Belief" EP.

In 2001 The FACES OF SARAH followed this up by releasing their first full-length album, 24, which was released to critical acclaim. The impressive debut got top reviews and club play at home and as far a field as Chile Japan USA, Australia & Germany. Following the release of 24 the band headlined Europe''s largest free summer festival in Dartford, Kent, and at London''s Astoria 2 (Mean Fiddler), which gained the band praising reviews. This in turn. lead to a tour with Inkubus Sukkubus and a slot at top London Goth festival Gotham at the LA 2.

This followed with the release of Misery Turns E.P. in 2003 featuring a duet with Candia Mc Cormack from Inkubus Sukkubus. The band followed up this release touring with bands such as The Mission, NFD, Theatres des Vampires and Killing Miranda, playing shows such as famous Whitby Gothic Weekender and as well as their own headlining gigs.

Now in 2005 the band has evolved into something quite unique, fearless experimenters never fully subscribing to gothic clichés and rules. The band are back on top form with a brand new line up and their new self financed Impurity E.P/DVD containing a video of Impurity, a live video of Misery Turns from Gotham 2002 with Candia of Inkubus Sukkubus dueting. The E.P. was produced by Andy Reilly (Paradise Lost, Bruce Dickinson, Cradle of Filth, Moonspell, Quireboys, Pigface, Asia).

This was officially released Fri 29th of April 2006 at Camden Underworld where they supported Theatre Des Vampires which was also the launch party for 666 records, owned by Dave Pybus (bassist for Cradle of Filth) which lead to a tour in October with one of the labels band Bloody Mary and Seasons End.

A track from the E.P “Keep Breathing” was chosen out of hundreds of bands to be included on the Malicious Damage Records (Killing Joke, The Orb) Clock Machine compilation, leading to a place on the labels all day Festival at Easter 2005.

The band are currently back in the studio writing and working on their eagerly anticipated second full-length album. The working title is “Nothing Remains”. A new single and video from this will also be released.
