Philip Perkins is an audio artist, composer, and film/video sound designer and re-recording mixer. He has worked with and been taught by such musicians and artists as "Blue" Gene Tyranny, Scott Fraser, John Bischoff, David Foster, Chris Brown, Tim Perkis, Gino Robair, Tom Djll, Wadada Leo Smith, Tom Waits, The Residents, Roger Berry, Bonnie Barnett, David Behrman, Robert Ashley and Pauline Oliveros, among many many others. He has made a large number of recorded works, which are available on the Fun Music and Artifact labels, and his films are available from Canyon Cinema (SF).

RE: "At The Other End Of The Day" To me this collection has a dreamy kind of resignation to it, born of listening to quotidian sounds and then willing them into unfamiliarity, accomplished by recording them with a very low-fi device and then further de-fidelifying them w/ simple musique concrete tricks. Hopefully, they are kind of like being in a crowd and pretending you don''t understand the language--everything is strange and new again.

Special thanks to Guy Orcutt, who inspired these works, and to my family, who put up with me recording and making them. Thanks also to jhno for the rADIAL app..
