MP3 cleanray - red tide surfing

Cleanray makes indie/rock/pop music. The music is deeply layered and draws the listener in close to the world created in each song. The lyrics are thought provoking strips of poetry that weave the thread through the entire album.

11 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Modern Rock, POP: Beatles-pop

"Cleanray uses a perfect blend of hard rock guitars with melodic songwriting to produce a sound that''s not only unique, but rather refreshing to hear after listening to a lot of the other cookie-cutter music being produced today by the majors."
-Jared DuBach, Music Critic for The Pulse

Inspired by music from the 60''s rock n'' roll era, British invasion, and select groups of modern alternative and indie rock, Cleanray is dedicated to becoming one of the timeless bands in popular music history. Every level of songwriting, sound-sculpting and performance is laden with drive and focus. All elements collide in a whirlwind live performance that leaves audiences of all facets with a new distinction of rock.

The songs are created to engage the listener and the performer in a unique and similar experience. Each track is a tightly woven, constantly evolving piece of music that slides seamlessly from one phrase to the next. Songs can begin very delicately with sparse instrumentation and suddenly explode with a rhythmic attack and a suffocating wall of sound. The line between rhythm and lead is constantly being blurred as melodic guitars become the overdriven counterpart to throbbing drum beats. The lyrics give imagery and a narrative thread to reinforce the mood inherent in the music. The songs, on the whole, are very hook driven with catchy melodies and memorable riffs.

Cleanray''s influences are; The Doors, The Beatles, Television, CCR, Miles Davis, The Cars, The Talking Heads, David Bowie, Jimi Hendrix, The Who, Queen, Modest Mouse, Pearl Jam, Radiohead, Nirvana, Wilco, The Strokes, The White Stripes, and Kings of Leon.
