CiRcUs MinOr is a combination of dark optimism and ethereal energy, taking influence from bands like The Cure, The Black Heart Procession and Joy Division. The music is both uplifting and thought provoking, while at the same time engaging and emotional. Their shows are an experience both visually and musically and not something to be missed.
Since they formed in October 2002, they have attracted and acquired a loyal fan base in their hometown of Los Angeles, playing consistently at the Troubadour, Knitting Factory, Viper Room, and Spaceland. The band has also played venues up and down the west coast in Seattle, Portland, and San Diego. They are featured in two up and coming independent feature films (Little Athens and I''ll Be There With You) wich are set to be in theatres in the next year.
Circus Minor recorded with Ryan Hadlock (producer for Steve Malkmus, Blonde Redhead, and The Black Heart Procession) and Jim Wood (producer for Dishwalla) and released their first self-titled record in February of 2005.
