It is imperative for me to share and impart the goodness of God. I didn''t grow up in the church and it wasn''t until I was in the fulness of my adulthood that I came to know God as my best friend, teacher, miracle worker and overall...everything! He''s brought me from a "far place" to the place I am today, and I want to encourage anyone who has any doubt as to whether or not God is able.....He''s more than able and wants to increase every life.
CHIQUITA ELIZABETH GREEN
Chiquita Elizabeth Green''s active career has taken her across the United States, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Having made the transformation into a "gospel exclusive" artist, she just recently finished recording "Let Go", a seventeen song anthology of soothing heartfelt inspirational ballads and soul stirring up tempo tunes that she wrote and co-produced with Philly''s veteran music magnate Doug Grigsby. The electrifying title cut "Let Go" was recorded at New Covenant Church of Philadelphia and features the New Covenant Sanctuary Choir of which Chiquita is a member. In the past several years, she has kept busy working and touring with the spirited, jazzy gospel ensemble "Agape" headed by Carol Frazier. She just recently returned home from an empowering European tour covering Germany, France, Italy, Switzerland and Monte Carlo, and continues to work and record with various gospel artists. Since writing is at the top of her list, her already extensive catalog of originals just keeps on expanding. Prior to singing exclusively for God''s glory, she worked all throughout Europe and the Middle East with her own jazz quartet "Chiquita and The Berdisch Band" while also working with various New York City Orchestras. She is quite familiar and at home with the concert stage. In 1990 to 1995 Ms. Green joined forces with Atlantic Records "Change", formerly headed by the late Luther Vandross, working in the US and at major concert venues in France, England, Scotland and Germany.
While residing between Philadelphia and Los Angeles, Chiquita has performed and recorded with the late Barry White, partnered in writing songs with and for The Temptations, Eli Tatarsky, Donald Robinson, T. Conway and has worked with Patti Labelle, to name a few, touring this country''s music capitals including New York, Philadelphia, Washington and Los Angeles. She has appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show, The United Negro College Fund , Unicef and NAACP Telethons. From voice over work to hair commercials to writing books, her work has been awarded Billboard recognition.
In addition to her career in music, she has appeared on the cover of Ebony Singles Magazine as well as the California Information Guide. Her beauty and fitness columns were published in popular Philadelphia magazines. As a dance major, she studied African and Interpretive dance under legendary John Hines. Her skills were also used in video promotion of Nautilus Health Club Inc., and various theatre productions. She continues working in her "wonderful field of music" and is excited to share her gifts and heal the hearts of the world!
" Let Go" is a collection of diverse grooves, beautiful melodys with sweet jazzy undertones, captivating harmonies, and words to stir the soul and soften the hearts of God''s most precious creation. It''s what we like to call "God''s project" for Him to do with it whatever He so desires!
