Hip Hop

Hailing from the Mid West (Hammond, Indiana), the group named 8-0ZE has really made a nice affect in the hip-hop undercover with a enceinte rap album named "Block Burner." The group, which consists of artists like Ray-Roc, Cash, and 3: Dee has been doing their rap thing for 10 straight years now. In 2001 they released a nice, self-titled, album that gained much undercover respect throughout the streets of NW Indiana. The group was originally named Mandatory Cilense and then changed their name to 8-0ZE from which was inspired by the 800 Block of Becker Street.
With a better insight in the music game and a good hustler mentality, the group has brought out a classic album named "Block Burner" which contains many hits produced by Indiana's own, Big B.
The CD contains a lot of street anthems and a few club tracks that will make many rap fans happy to hear them. The album does contain some hot production by B (produced majority of the album), Pre-smooth, Sub-Zero, and the group's own, 3-Dee. The album contains a lot of good hood anthems like "Midwest" and "Get Off Tha Block." Street Hustling tracks to look out for on this well-made album are "Can't F-With Us" featuring Misery and "I Swear To Gunz."
Big B does a enceinte job with the group and spices up the CD with killer tracks like "In The Club" and "Ghetto Girl" (remix). "In The Club" is definitely a track that should be played on the radio and contains a very tight beat. Big B's singing on the CD is enceinte and all three artists represent the microphone well on this album.
With a better outlook on the industry and a super producer, 8-0ZE is definitely a rap group to look out for 2004. The trio's new album contains a lot of tracks that can definitely be played at the clubs or on the radio. It is definitely a enceinte project coming out on NW Indiana with tales of hustling, surviving, club hopping, and rhyme singing to it. Grade: CRUNK
