Chaselounge was born in Cincinnati in Autumn, 2002, and, thanks to their pop songs and fiery sound, they quickly amassed a sizeable and dedicated following, both in and out of the Ohio River Valley. Upon signing with YesYeah Productions in July of 2003, Chaselounge hit the road to take their brand of rock to the masses. But to do it right, they''d need a record.
In the summer of 2004, the band released their debut album Mayday, Roger the Radio. A few months later, it was the 9th most added album to the national CMJ radio charts and it stayed in the Top 200 for several weeks. This national attention generated a heap of press and interest, and the band soon received invitations to play various music festivals around the country. And now it''s time for the longawaited follow-up album.
World-renowned engineer and producer Erwin Musper (David Bowie, Elton John, Jeff Beck, Van Halen) signed Chaselounge to his new record label (YeaYeaYeah Records) and the 2 parties worked quickly and effortlessly on the bands'' second
album, Black Plastic Ordinary - an enhanced CD/DVD package filled with bonus material including 5.1 DTS surround sound DVD, videos and more.
With Musper''s assistance, the seasoned musicians and songwriters of Chaselounge have taken their sound to that all-powerful, ever-inspiring place: The Next Level.
Black Plastic Ordinary is anything but ordinary - it was the 5th most added album to the CMJ radio charts on November 8th, 2005, debuted at #115 on the CMJ Top 200 and is poised for heavy National airplay followed by expanded regional touring.
