LATIN: Mariachi, WORLD: World Traditions
Jorge Bueno is from the beautiful city of Monterrey, in the state of Nuevo Leon located in northern Mexico, where he was born and raised. He is a Leo, born August 4th. Bueno''s life-long ambition materialized with his discographic release of "Amor de ti," his most recent album/project under a record label in the United States. The songs are original and were perfected in collaboration with music and arrangers from the elite Mariachi Los Camperos, and the world-renowned Mariachi Tenochtitlan.
Jorge Bueno''s goal is to do with Mariachi music what Andrea Boccelli has successfully done with Italian opera: to take an ancient form of music, preserve the original classic style, and yet personalize it with modern vocals to match the updated arrangements of today''s popular music. In this fashion, he is able introduce it to music lovers from all walks of life and gain acceptance on an international level. Bueno is already on his way to becoming the leading Regional Mexican Artist in the Latin market. He is a true romantic and cultured "Latin lover."
Jorge Bueno is currently based out of Los Angeles, California. He studied, learned and mastered the English language in a private school and in a university in Mexico. Jorge Bueno does not want to be known as a scholar; he wants to make a difference and raise global awareness of the refined Mexican culture and be known as the gentleman who shared with the world the upscale and refined side of what the Mexican culture and its music really is: sophisticated, glamorous, sexy, and international.
While in school he became an avid rower where he would get up at the crack of dawn and work up a sweat in the tranquility of the calm waters. He still rows three to four times a week if the touring schedule permits. Jorge Bueno loves to exercise. You can frequently catch him rollerblading at the beach, using the Stairmaster or pumping weights in the gym in order to keep his body in top shape. Watching him perform live is the only proof you''ll need to witness his confident and powerful stage presence.
Jorge Bueno''s well-trained voice comes not only from lessons but from his experiences in musical theatre and stage productions where he has portrayed several important leading roles. One day he plans on recording an album of powerful selections from popular musicals, perhaps sung entirely in Spanish. Some of Bueno''s favorite times were while he sang the second tenor or baritone part in a madrigal, four-part harmony vocal ensemble. With this particular vocal group he studied and performed music from some of the earliest written musical works of the world.
Numerous performances have taken Jorge Bueno from small city nightclubs to large metropolis stadiums, to singing to people at convalescent homes to a dinner honoring the president of the United States. Bueno is not all about only music and performing. He says that he lives to entertain. But behind the scenes, his music will be a catalyst to bring people together. The idea is that this music will put people from all demographics in a happy state, in a playing field on the global level. "Music brings unity," says Bueno.
Jorge Bueno is definitely a humanitarian. He has assembled a team and formed a nonprofit corporation that serves as a source of help for the economically challenged. Bueno has pledged a percentage of album sales to be put into the nonprofit fund that will be the beginning of a foundation to help the needy. Bueno says, "Our operation will begin as soon as we receive our exemption from the state. We are now searching for grants and other programs so that we have working capital in the formative stages. We will begin offering assistance to working single parents, so that they can secure free or low cost childcare for their children. We won''t just give people cash; instead our program will work hand-in-hand with current government subsidy programs. The next phase will be to acquire apartment buildings in major cities and designate them as affordable housing, for seniors and also for struggling families." It is clear that the Mexican singer is already planning on giving back to the community.
He may be dubbed, "Jorge Bueno, the Mariachi with a Plan." He is indeed armed with the correct elements to touch the world. He is energetic, young, sexy, and handsome. His strong and passionate voice is refreshing in a business where cookie-cutter artists are a dime a dozen. This songwriter is in a category of his own. There is little or no competition for Bueno, who is well underway to dominate musically on a global level. This is the essence of a true international Mexican pop star in the making.
Jorge Bueno''s slogan says it all: "Let yourself be conquered by the man who carries the essence of Mexico in his voice--Jorge Bueno."
