Jane''s driving force, singer/songwriter Randy Smith, has been performing since the late 1980''s. He started out as lead vocalist and primary songwriter for the band A Date With Jane. When the group disbanded in 1992, Randy formed his own band, Jane, and also began performing an acoustic solo act. Randy''s music reflects such diverse styles as pop, rock, blues and adult contemporary. His songwriting emphasizes melody and relevancy. Over the course of his career, Randy has opened for such national acts as Sophie B. Hawkins, Firehouse and Peter Tork & Shoe Suede Blues. He has performed throughout the Mid-Atlantic region as well as California and the Carribean. Randy has recorded extensively throughout his career. Most of his work, including this CD, was recorded at Target Studios in Elkton MD with production by Marc Moss.
