JEREMIAH FOLEY.
Jeremiah was born in San Angelo, TX in 1982. His family moved around a lot which gave him a varied background. He has one brother and one surviving sister. His sister, Leigha, died of cancer when she was twelve. Guilt, anger, and grief were added to loneliness. Even though Jeremiah believed in God and lived in a family where there was a form of Godliness, he was rendered powerless when the enemy launched his attacks. After graduating from high school, Jeremiah attended Texas Tech University to pursue a business degree. He also, spent a semester in Spain. No matter where he lived or what he pursued, he was filled with emptiness. There was a turning point. Jeremiah saw a new found freedom in his mother''s life and curiosity enticed him (or so it seemed) to inquire how she got it. Truly, the Holy Spirit was at work. Jeremiah was told about a ministry that could help him. He was ministered to with counseling and then he attended a prayer meeting where he was delivered from demonic forces that held him, and filled with the Holy Spirit. Jeremiah was quoted as saying, "I was filled with emptiness and now I am empty." His ''house" had been swept clean and the Lord began to fill him up and He continues to do so. "God works all things together for good for those that love him and for those called according to His purposes." God took all of Jeremiah''s experiences and has made them purposeful. The messages in the Jeremiah Cry songs are a result of God''s ability to take the junk of our lives and make them into art.
JOHN McCLAIN.
John was born in 1979 in Midland, Texas and grew up there as well. He was raised in a single parent home with ... brothers and... sisters. John asked Jesus into his heart at the age of six. Through the years, he began to lose the love he had for the Lord. He lacked passion and zeal for the things of God. At the age of nineteen, John married, only to become separated after three months of marriage. The marriage ended in divorce. In 2001, John returned to his first love. For the next two years, he attended and graduated from the Victory Bible Institute in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Upon his return to Midland in 2003, he was greeted with open arms from Desert Wind Ministries and an assignment. He was informed that he''s the bass player for Jeremiah Cry and he accepted. John not only plays bass and sings backup, but he preaches when the opportunity presents itself. He loves to preach to God''s people, encouraging them in their walk and teaching God''s principles. John brings balance and structure to the band.
JOSHUA ARCENEAUX.
Joshua was raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He grew up in a church environment, but he didn''t lead the Christian life. Joshua became heavily involved with alcohol and drugs. He became an addict which was the catalyst for a life of crime. This landed Joshua in jail at the age of seventeen with fifteen felony charges, facing twelve consecutive years in prison. After his first year of prison, the courts released him to a Teen Challenge facility in Lafayette, Louisiana. After seven months without a change of heart, he was dismissed to a Teen Challenge in Midland, Texas. Joshua surrendered to God, gave Him his whole heart, and walked with Him since that day. Joshua has a strong will but not stronger than the God he serves. Joshua graduated from Teen Challenge, remained in Midland, and was led to join Desert Wind ministry. Joshua plays the drums, shares his testimony, and writes some of the songs they perform.
