Idlefill is fresh off recording an EP in Los Angeles with producer Mark Wolfson (Mighty Joe Young [STP], Jane Child) and Grammy Award-winning engineer Neil Citron. All the while making a name for themselves in the Pacific Northwest with catchy, harmony-filled rock ‘n’ roll songs, a strong Christian platform, and an infectiously fun, energetic live-show.
Idlefill has had a few lineup changes since their debut album “What Matters To You” (also available here at https://www.tradebit.com) was recorded in 2004. Joining founding members lead vocalist/guitarist Chris Adair and rhythm guitarist/vocalist Andrew Southwick are drummer John Wilson, lead guitarist Matt Klein and bassist Ben Talbot. “We have a blast onstage and that leaks to the audience,” says Adair. “We become a better band with each show we play.” The current members like to think the band has only been around since March of 2005. “For someone that saw Idlefill play two years ago we would be completely different,” comments Southwick.
Their EP has five new tracks and a new version of their song “You Are I Am”, (from their previous album) all with the distinct Idlefill sound. “How Does It Feel” and “You Are I Am” are accessible, acoustic-based slices of Idlefill’s signature brand of Christian rock, while the album- closer “Sunday Morning Man” is an energetic rocker with a catchy chorus that won’t leave your head for days.
