Conrad James Macdonald is a Nashville based songwriter who most notably has had many songs cut by Legendary Soul Singer Charles “Wigg” Walker. Walker is currently winning rave reviews for his just released “Soul Stirring Thing” CD on which Macdonald has the title cut as well as “Rub My Buddha” and “Giant Switches”.
On his own Macdonald enjoys a cult following for his scorching psychedelic single “Yellow Listen” circa 1970. He has just released “Beyond the Blues” with ten originals soulfully sung and masterfully played on finger style guitar. Each song is crafted to a gem and several are backed with upright bass, percussion and moody strings all supplied by the supremely talented Chris Sanders from his Eastside Project Studio in Nashville, TN.
Macdonald refers to his sound and genre as “Folk & Soul”.
