The Hush Soundtrack is comprised of very personal pieces that were crafted through combining years of living and loving the blues, and the supernatural and eerie tone of the film. The music is at times optimistic, some times frightening but always true; it will take you on a dangerous journey but attempts it''s fullest to bring you home.
The music and the film''s material go hand in hand; that is to say that one helped generate the other.
From the onset of conceiving the film, there was a definite sound that seemed to accompany the visions and characters that begin to live in my mind. The sound was something that blended the heart and passion of Muddy Waters with the grit and distortion of Link Wray. The sound came alive in pieces as the music itself seemed to hit me when "it" was ready. Often times recording sessions came in the late hours of the night or early hours of the morning; the emotions and sounds had to be captured.
