Details:
Just weeks after finishing his classical guitar degree in 1995, Randy Ellefson recorded these 18 tracks, never knowing he''d lose all guitar playing to severe tendonitis a year later. Now, in 2010, he has released the recordings that his fans have heard so much about. In the intervening years, he regained his other playing and has released three CDs of instrumentals (two rock, one all acoustic) to much acclaim. Now you can hear the playing that caused so much turmoil. Despite this, they are tranquil - or thrilling - performances of standard classical guitar repertoire. All the more surprising is that he''d only been playing classical guitar for two years when the recordings were made. But the art is lost to him for good.
