Suzie has been recording in the past five albums of traditional diatonic accordion style. She made her first one when she was 13 years old, and the four others were recorded during the following years, originally on a tape.
During the followings years, Suzie''s musical destiny has taken her on a voyage of discovery around globe. North America, Asia, Australia, New-Zealand, Europe - wherever Suzie goes her accordion song follows. Motivated by the desire to communicate with the diverse cultures she’s met along the way, Suzie has also pursued another passion : linguistics. Now with seven languages under her belt, this multilingual musician finds it even easier to cross borders.
Her encounters with this multitude of countries, cultures, languages and instruments inspired Suzie to produce an album that can be best defined as a musical mosaic. For the last 13 years, Suzie has devoted her spare time to collecting little jewels of sound and image in order to piece them into her latest musical creation. Her bond with the ocean plunged her to new creative depths where the songs of the whales made her soundscape complete. This one-of-a-kind project was completed in Tokyo, Japan and is now Suzie Gagnon proudest accomplishment. She invites you to close your eyes, open your ears, and enjoy your journey into this musical odyssey.
