"Sugarstar," a six minute opus by the Bellingham Washington band Salvadore Dali Llama, rewards the attentive listener with layers of sound which nicely mirror the lyrics in this interesting take on the influence of both science and science fiction in banishing the ghouls of religion and superstition. "The early days were filled with scary holy ghosts, but science fact and fiction came along and saved our souls." The title is a reference to the sugar molecules found in stars and their role in the origination of life. We are all of us made of star stuff.
