Ed Bennett, founder of the original VH1 says of Raya & Mystic Dub,
"The music is familiar, yet unique.
Melodies and rhythms abound...and the grooves keep you moving and chilling. Play this music with friends around, and you may all be smiling."

Raya & Mystic Dub have accumulated their music and styles from their individual walks of life, combining them into one unique sound that is new-school Reggae with a vintage twist. Their debut album, "Have No Fear" (c) 2010 is a project with a message for the masses. Amidst much uncertainty, this group emerges with foundation. The rhythms are steady, heavy and hot: the lyrics are timely, the instrumentation fully defined.
The group is headed up by lead-singer Raya True, who plays keyboards in the band. Juan Carlos, the drummer who also sings vocals is the solid core of the rhythm section. Most bass tracks on the album were performed by John "Bassie" S., while Mickey Mack provided the melodica and some sax tracks. The vintage tones of the C3 Hammond and the Leslie Cabinet really warms the tone of the music all around. The singer''s range keeps the tracks varied, and the ''dub'' tracks (little to no lyrics) are a whole experience themselves that MUST be had!
Donald Kinsey, a man who toured and recorded with Bob Marley, Peter Tosh and more produced the album. He played guitar, a little bass and some keys on a track as well. His ripping guitar leads on several of the tracks are... well, breathtaking. You''ve got to hear them for yourself.
Several other instrumentalists were featured on this album alongside the core members, Juan Carlos and Raya True. Those artists include: Mickey Mack, John Stawarz, Savannah Weaver, Johnny Gist, and Jim Shaneberger.
