With the arrival of the new millennium, Gammer launched himself into the task of an analogue to digital remastering of all previous recordings, including live material from the Gallery - the stereo master tape for which, was eventually discovered at the house of the man who''d recorded the gig, Dave Greenbanks, whose palm was crossed with silver and the tape changed hands. Astonishingly, the session hadn''t been recorded over (as is the fate of many unpaid for recordings!).
The Herculean task began at the Arcadia studio of Ged Green (that man again!). The first thing was to find machines that would play the venerable tapes; and, when they were found, to beg, borrow, or hire. (The tapes recorded at Moonraker Studios were driven down to Funky Junk in London, where Gammer and Ged spent the day transferring the material to a digital format.)
