The song is written from the point of view of Victoria, the main character in the play The Good to Suffer. She has been through tremendous trauma in her life and although in her thirties has retreated into a former, childlike version of herself where she ''hides'' from the real outside world. In the lyrics she is pleading with the ones she loves to come find her becasue she wants to be saved. She doesn''t want to continue to wallow in the pain but she needs their help to face up to and work through that pain in order to come out the other side.
Whilst tinged with saddness this song also has an air of hope that Victoria can indeed come out the other side, forgiving the people who have wronged her and move on.
