This is an Americana story about the mining town of Picher, Ok. It was once a Big booming town, then became a little town due to all the mines closing down. It eventually became a superfund site, and this along with a tornado destroyed and put an end to the town. Yet, the spirit of all who call Picher their home town remains strong.
While the song tells the story of all that was sacrficed and eventually lost, it ends with an uplifting gospelish reflection of some of the many memories of Picher that made it such a great town and continues to manifest it''s spirit within the hearts of all that is connected to this great town.
