The lyrics to "On It Goes" could easily have been put to a dirgy ballad. Instead, I composed the music to juxtapose its contemplative lyrics. The major key, active melody and mid-tempo swing -- sort of like Cheryl Crow meeting The Smiths - create a fresh, folky pop sound without being void of substance.
So, however the song strikes you, I hope you''ll tap your feet and sing along ...
