Pete was professionally trained in ''86 in the art of recording engineering and has been actively producing for many years now.
At around the age of 5, Pete''s family realized he had an interest in music. He gravitated towards the piano and realized that he could play by ear. "I would hear music from the radio or TV, and found I could pick out the correct notes and play what I heard. I took piano lessons for several years but found I had more fun learning things on my own. I felt taking lessons was painfully boring to me. Gary Numan''s hit "Cars" came out and my interest in electronic/ambient music was born."
"By the age of 13 or so I started experimenting with my Mom''s classical guitar which was usually propped in a corner somewhere. Again, my ability to quickly learn was apparent and I started teaching myself chords. Then I got into "The Police" and my brain zoned in on Sting''s bass playing, especially on their "Ghost in the Machine" album. I learned as much as I could."
Pete discovers the super group "Rush" - "I then started listening to Rush and was blown away by Geddy Lee''s talent on the bass, keyboards, and his amazing voice. I ended up moving to Los Angeles after graduating from "The Recording Workshop" in southern Ohio, to pursue music. On the flight from New York to L.A. I met the son of a famous music producer. After chatting a while we exchanged info and the next day I was calling a band he introduced me to who needed a bassist. I tried out and was immediately accepted."
"After a year of playing with the group "Active Habit" I ended up returning to Ohio with the intent on finishing college (I had two years under my belt). After I got home and worked for a year, I joined the USAF and ended up serving for an entire career that lasted until the spring of 2008. I really enjoyed my time in the service and got to see many parts of the world."
"Over the years I''ve owned several different keyboards, lead and bass guitars, and recording equipment. Now I''m a producer / recording engineer and I work in my own studio full time, recording my own music, audio books for authors, and more. In August 2008 I married for the second time and now I couldn''t be happier."
