On this E.P. Damnation A.D. , the Godfathers of Metalcore, lay the foundation for their dark and brooding sound. Damnation A.D. started out as a project, and these were the very first songs written and recorded by the band. The Hangedman went on to be re-recorded by the full line up years later, and has been covered numerous times by other bands, such as Hatebreed. Damnation A.D. influenced an entire generation of bands, some metal and some emo but all borrowing a riff or an idea from these hardcore heroes. This E.P. features singer Mike ''D.C.'' McTernan, and song writer Ken Olden, who plays all the instruments on this record. These 6 songs are a collection of 3 separate singles that were released almost exclusively on vinyl years ago.
