POP: 90's Pop, FOLK: Folk Pop
This outstanding debut project from Holly Light & Ted Owens shows refreshing songwriting diversity and depth not often heard in music these days. âBeautiful Worldâ lets the listener enjoy the ride with a compilation of songs, each one it's own chapter, that journey through all of life's circumstances. From the dark but hopeful pop groove of âBeautiful Worldâ through a jangly and energetic âLife's Little Mysteriesâ into the melodic ache of âHomeâ, the rich arrangements are also spacious, letting Light's alluring vocals seep in.
"Reminds me of everything I loved about Sheryl Crow. 8-out-of-10 stars!"

Winner '2002 Songwriter of the Year' - DIY Reporter
"Holly Light and Ted Owens offers an astonishing album that, were it issued by Bonnie Raitt, would be destined for the top of the charts. Not that this one won't fit there; if radio would perk up its ears to Light's memorable "Beautiful World" or her aching "Home," a few million units could be easily moved...if you're merely a fan of great music, this is one you have to have in your collection."
- Bruce Haring, Founder D.I.Y Reporter
"Holly Light and her great Adult Alternative Pop style can charm even the most critical music fan. This album is proof that when music is done right, it can inspire and jar the emotions of others. You'll definitely feel that here"

As the youngest of 6 singing siblings music was inevitable.
Those were the days when AM radio played the likes of CSN, Joni Mitchell and the queen of soul...it wasn't hard to fall in love.
My gigging debut occurred at a local club in Rocky Hill, New Jersey called 'The Place' - there weren't many to choose from so the name worked just fine. I blazed away on all the Bonnie Raitt tunes I'd ever heard and was hooked on performing from that night on. I headed west but unfortunately so did disco.
To make some cash I worked in lots of cover bands that traveled to some strange and wonderful places where it was usually dark and cold...Alaska in January, Northwest Territories in February and Finland in March then , thankfully, the 80s ended.
I've been singing, songwriting and playing guitar since I was 13 and will continue until they roll me onstage in a wheel chair....don't wait until then to catch the show.
