Soup of the Day is a diverse group of musicians bound together in search of new horizons. Soup of the Day has a distinctive style characterized by one unique fact. Each member is a highly proficient musician, capable of taking the music to another dimension without guidance from central leadership. Often two or three members will team up during a song and perform a hostile takeover of the groove, then two or three of the others will perform countermeasures designed to take the jam in their preferred direction... all the while keeping the song coherent and danceable. Soup of the Day is one of few bands who have strong appeal to musicians and dancers alike. Their website... https://www.tradebit.com

Initially conceived as a one-off project in an attempt to overthrow the Red Hook Bellingham Band Slam contest, Yah-Muzz has continued on and has heads all over the PNW listening. Guaranteed to show crowds a good time, these guys are poising themselves to make moves in the local hip-hop scene.
In case you''ve missed the shows, the All-Star lineup for this conscious regressive hip-hop project is:
Mathias Sanders- Professor of Linguistics, M.C.
Geoff Larson- Bass, Vocals
Rick Weber- Drum Kit
Andrew Fuller- Turntables
Justin Sorensen- Vibes, Keys, Vocals
Cameron Newell- Guitar, Vocals
Don Hopwood grew up in Spokane, Washington where he studied guitar with "Too Slim" Langford. He gathered a lot of knowledge from this great blues guitarist, until he found he needed to go a different direction with his playing. He used the tools of the solo blues guitarist to play melody, harmony, rhythm, and bass lines, but with a more classical edge. This creates one of the most original styles of guitar playing you ever will hear. Writing lyrics that fit over his amazing guitar work, Mr. Hopwood is surely a force to be reckoned with. Don is starting to play with a full band. . tentatively titled ''Local Hero''.

Das Vibenbass has been serving up their unique brand of "Jazz" and love of music for over three years. The group has evolved from a duo of Vibraphone (Justin Sorensen) and Bass (Geoff Larson), to a quartet, which now includes Drum Set (JC Bachman) and Tenor Saxophone (Josh Clifford). With the addition of these two instrumentalists, the music rapidly changed to an "in your face" style and continues to unfold its new and diverse form of expression daily. The listener will hear such levels as a compelling groove between the bass and drums, a layer of harmony through the vibes, and a biting saxophone consuming up the foundation it''s given. In addition to this consistent sound, Das Vibenbass also has a soothing way of allowing the audience to sit back, breathe, and take in a harmonious ballad at what seems to always be an ideal time. The group generally plays original music, but gives cover songs such as Sonny Rollins, Strode Rode or Rasaan Roland Kirks, Theme for the Eulipions the Das Vibenbass flavor. The interplay and chemistry between the players is wonderful to hear and see. It is clear they are having a blast on stage, as you will see their concentration often turn into laughter following a hip moment in a tune. One feels as if they are a part of the band producing the music when they watch this compelling concoction. It is a fantastic experience to have!
