Details:
This LP is The Hartwells'' sophomore studio effort and their first full-length album, featuring ten eclectically homogeneous tunes, ranging from a catchy ditty about untimely death ("If I Die Tomorrow") to an epic tale of wild animals on the subway, a modern-day Noah''s ark ("A Stop On The Track"). All tracks were recorded in the studio in June of 2006 in New York City.
The Hartwells are a dynamic New York City-based rock group, whose members fuse the rich musical heritage of Nashville, with the brash, inventive Boston tongue, and the throbbing pulse of New York, resulting in characteristically zealous live performances and polished studio recordings. They play original tunes with an upbeat, funky, decidedly feel-good vibe. They have been compared, by a loyal fan or two, to an effervescent Sublime intermixed with some Les Claypool literary lyrical weirdness slapped atop a bohemian bedrock of imaginative bass beats, horn riffs, and harmonica blows. The crew has been playing live in New York City and in the New England area for over two years. Please give the tunes a listen, and get ready to rock!
