Formed out of a mutual passion for classic thrash and speed metal, and a hatred for trend, Extinction Agenda channels elements of early Slayer, Venom, Destruction, Razor, Tankard, Sabbat (UK), Exodus and Kreator into a modern medium.
Scott DeFusco was a member of seminal New England black metal outfit December Wolves up until/including the release of Completely Dehumanized through Earache Records in 1998. He was later involved in several independent projects, which culminated in the release of his Serpent Eclipse album The Seven Desires and Wolves Blood through Oaken Shield/Adipocere in France.
Scott Iconslaughter has created, composed and performed in a slew of local metal and hardcore acts through the past decade including Dungeonbat, Ironhide, and industrial dance metal crossover act Ghidorah. He has performed live in past bands alongside everyone from Death, Sick of It All, and Mercyful Fate to Sam Black Church, Converge, Overcast, and Cave In.
Extinction Agenda released their first, self-titled demo in 2005 to some excellent reviews. They were joined in Summer ''05 by Brian Oblivion, songwriter/guitarist with Earache Records recording artists December Wolves, who has also toured nationally with local hardcore mainstays Backstabbers Inc.
They recorded their second demo, The Grace Defile, in winter/spring 2006 and it has been receiving local radio play and a positive local response at shows. Most recently, Hatchet guitar player Tony Paterno has joined on bass duties, and December Wolves vocalist Smails has taken over the lead vocals.
Extinction Agenda represents sincerity and determination in a scene bursting at the seams with trend. They draw their inspiration directly from the source of extreme metal, and temper the fury of traditional European thrash and death metal with a competent, provocative lyrical prowess centered firmly in the now.
