For a long time it seemed that nothing could stop Edwin Larson from making relationship blunders until he met Linda, his wife of seven years. Love naturally inspires music and Edwin found himself in the perfect situation to be inspired.
The genesis of Shine Goddess Shine was an evolution of fortunate circumstances. In the beginning they found each other and a relationship was born. Then they found a coffee shop and on Sundays they sat together in comfy chairs, chatted and sipped coffee and hot chocolate.
Into Edwin''s mind words appeared, lots of words, arranged in poetic patterns expressing the joyful beat of romantic love. He assembled a collection of lyrical poems called ''Love Thoughts over Latte'' which became the source of many songs in Shine Goddess Shine.
These song/poems explore the mysterious ups and downs between two psychologically opposite but astrologically matched people that became a celebration of love and adoration and testify to the many emotional discoveries resulting from a fully committed marriage.
Edwin wanted a musical tribute to the multitude of personal emotional discoveries he made as a result of being married to a beautiful woman. His message is about how a man loves not just with his heart but through his deeds. He must be willing to control his desires for her sake and the health of the family. Self control defines the man. A true man will give himself completely to his Goddess without losing himself and it is the Goddess within her that he must find and nurture.
Edwin, a psychiatrist, knows good music heals and the talents of Lee Moran, Dan Henning, Amanda Henning, and Rosie Eagle were what just what the doctor ordered.
A moment of serendipidy can change the course of history or launch a first CD. Edwin and Lee had know each other for several years but didn''t realize the extent of their mutual interests. It was like they bumped into each other.
Lee Moran: Hey, you got poetry on my guitar.
Edwin Larson: You got guitar on my poetry.
Lee Moran: I think we can work this out.
Edwin Larson: Hey, that sounds pretty good.
Lee Moran: I know a guy. He has a recording studio.
Dan Henning: I''ll try, boys, but it won''t be easy.
Shine Goddess Shine really didn''t start accidentaly but as a hopeful evolving thought. Each recording session was like finding diamonds. The process quickly developed a life of its own, fed and nurtured by the collective talents of Edwin Larson, Lee Moran, Dan Henning, Amanda Henning, and Rosie Eagle.
Shine Goddess Shine will add dance to your step, glitter to your day, love to the airways and insights to your relationship. Love has been and always will be the genesis of good music.
