El Rhythm Method was formed in the summer of 2000 by founders Njoroge Noroge(Bass), and Stan Pyrzanowski(guitar/vocals) in Brooklyn, New York. They initially spent time working out original material as a duo, each bringing different songs and ideas to the project.
In early 2001 they hooked up with drummer Tom Brett, and Alto saxophonist Justin Wood. The group played around New York for the next few years and finally got into the studio in Febuary 2005, and released a self titled six track EP. Soon after the EP was released Tom left the band and was replaced on drums by Josh Fleischmann.
The El Rhythm Method sound is a funky soulful high energy sound. A typical set is a mix of original instrumental and vocal tunes with a few covers.
El Rhythm Method continues to play around NYC and the Tri-State area and wherever else the music may take them.
