MP3 Tandemoro - The Movers & The Shakers

California party pop

15 MP3 Songs
POP: California Pop, POP: Party Pop

Details:
Hailing from Los Angeles, CA, Tandemoro originated in 2000 as a collaboration between Mike Griffin (vocals/guitar) and Mike Schanzlin (keyboards/vocals). Their hybrid of breakbeats and pop songs resulted in the widespread burning and sharing of their 2002 debut album, "A Demonstration in Sol". Tandemoro became a band in high demand, even before the Mikes had supporting band members. Early support came in the form of radio airplay radio stations such as Live 365, Indie 103.1, and BBC Radio 1. Playing shows across California and home-recording their "Lock Your Doors EP" (2004), still as a duo, it was decided that Tandemoro should be a lively, full-force live band in order to perform the recorded material. Shannon McKinnon (drums), Carl Jordan (lead guitar), Eric Hamilton (turntables), and Bill Watterson (bass) were all picked to join Tandemoro. The group then recorded their third release, a full-length album, The Movers and the Shakers from the Fall of 2005 to the summer of 2006. During that time, songs “Long Long Time Ago” and “The Movers and The Shakers” were licensed for use in the HBO series, Dane Cook’s Tourgasm, even before the album’s release. This ambitious album, filled with 15 dense, colorful, pounding pop-songs, has been independently released by Tandemoro and is now available at Sea Level Records and Amoeba Records in Los Angeles and on itunes, https://www.tradebit.com, and Amazon. Tandemoro has released all of their previous music for free on the website https://www.tradebit.com, so enjoy, burn, and thanks for supporting.
