Cliff Rubin''s spiritual journey has led him through the rise and fall of a musical career in which he toured in the acoustic act, Essenss, started several other bands, gained recording and management deals with Warner Brothers and Delta Records and toured nationally and throughout Canada with bands that include Bachman Turner Overdrive, Jimmy Buffet, Richie Havens, and Taj Mahal. Though he obtained moderate success and nearly achieved stardom...something was wrong. The pain of facing the fact that he was missing some vital ingredient necessary for his own personal development as a joyous human being, sent his world in music crashing down around him.
Cliff left his music career. Soon, he became so ill he, was hospitalized. After being told he might die, he checked himself out of the hospital, knowing this to be a spiritual crisis, beyond the physical evidence.
In Asheville, North Carolina, he spent the next six years healing and changing his relationship with life. When the time felt right, Cliff re-entered the world of music from his soul. He spent five years as the music director at the Center for Creative Living, writing and performing songs that spoke to his own transformation. These songs affected others so strongly, he was asked to record them.
Cliff''s transformation has affected every area of his life, his music comes forth with the ease and lightness of that which is born of spirit...and success is judged by the joy in his life and his ability to pass it on to others. His most recent project, "Dreamers and Children" was released in December 2006 through Crossroads Records.
