Gardiner made his debut in 1926 as an actor in Alfred Hitchcocks silent film The Lodger. Before he moved to Hollywood at the end of the 1930s he recoreded a monologue entitled Trains. It remained in the Decca record catalogue for nearly 40 years and Gradiner was summoned to Buckingham Place to give a performance to King Geroge VI.

So many happy childhood memories recaptured with this little gem of a recording.
I have a Cracked 75 of this recording so to find it on here was brilliant - I have always liked it!
Sound too fast. He sounds like a woman!
