Singer, songwriter Mark Nivet was born in Trinidad and raised in Sydney, Australia.
His mother says he was singing since before he could talk.
Most influenced by legendary singers Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, John Farnham and Whitney Houston, he began singing and performing professionally at age 12 at with The Australian Opera at The Sydney Opera House, appearing as a principal role in Mozart''s "The Magic Flute" and also working with director Baz Luhrman in "La Boheme".
This solid performance background gave him the basis to continue his professional journey.
Mark has been featured in shows in many top venues throughout the United States such as
THE PLUSH ROOM in San Francisco and in his own show "A Touch of Class" at "Don''t Tell Mama" in New York City.
He has worked in musicals including "Greaser, Cyrano De Bergerac (title role), Urinetown, and South Pacific and most recently played the title role in David Bryan''s (Bon Jovi) The Toxix Avenger in Calgary".
Having played piano since the age of seven, he has always messed around with chords and melodies and over the past ten years, has been writing music and lyrics.
The result is "ThePath", his debut album of songs he composed that reflect the personal stories of his life during his time growing up in Australia and traveling in the US and Canada.
