Minimum Wake hails from the beaches and swamps of East Central Florida, just off the tracks that take the FEC on its unending travels north and south, creating a music that drifts up from beneath moss-encrusted oaks, a sound that quivers with the rumble of rockets, and songs that settle one to sleep with strums of a road-weary guitar. Songwriter Mike Runion conjures the melodies from his acoustic and gives voice to yarns of love, anger and rivers swollen. Multi-instrumentalist Peter Wells lays down a lead guitar that veers from atmospheric to Allman, plucks a mean mandolin, and sets a steady mood of bass and percussion.
