First we will discuss how to capture IR images directly using a digital camera. Next we will look at how to create the infrared look by converting digital files into virtual (or faux) IR images in black and white or color.

This section will be as cross-platform as possible. A recent version of Adobe Photoshop was used to process most of the illustrations in this book, but many other image-processsing programs offer similar tools.

The third half (as they say on NPRs Car Talk) of this book is about what to do with IR images after you create them. Thats an important part of the fun of IR photography.
