It was the fall of 1997. I had just ended a long term relationship and was deeply depressed. I was at an all time low. I took everything i owned and moved into a 12x15 rehearsal space and started writing and recording. I had no preconceived ideas of what kind of album I would make. I just started writing about what I was feeling. I also started singing on it. I had had never sang before in my life, and I wasn''t particularly confident about singing on it, but I knew that I had to. It didn''t make sense to find someone else to sing the things that i was feeling. This was my first full length album.
