Details:
January Rose was formed in 1984 out of two east coast touring bands. This band shared the stage with Three Dog Night, David Clayton Thomas, The Band, Delbert McClinton, The Outlaws, Molly Hatchet, Vince Gill, Exile, Johnny Van Zant, The Guess Who, and others. After the release of No Alibi the bands following grew due to radio airplay. It was very unusual for a new indie label to have an act receiving thousands of spins on large FM stations. Material for the record was based on experiences from the traveling, nightlife, relationship struggles and some socio-economic issues. The niche following which was largely based in Southwest Virginia and North Carolinia soon grew from PA to FLA. January Rose headlined large clubs and some arena shows selling in the thousands of tickets. After years of touring and recording the band decided to take a break in 1992. As of 2011 they have not played another show.
