"While Seasons Change" is a collection of songs inspired by the resilient natural areas of the Eastern U.S.. The intent of the album is to illustrate the magnificent change many such places endure throughout each year. The same site in any given area can withstand frozen, snow covered extremes in winter, searing heat and drought in the summer, and everything in between. Whether it''s looking for the first wildflowers in the early spring, canoeing on a muggy summer night, or bowhunting white tail amidst the first fall colors; the same places can seem entirely different from season to season.
As change comes and goes for all of us at some point, it''s nice to know there are many things out there enduring it gracefully. Many natural areas and their bits and pieces make endurance an elegant yet necessary art. "While Seasons Change" is a musical tribute to this.
Originally released in 1999, "While Seasons Change" was the first album recorded by M.D. Mycroft. The second album "Sense of Place" will be released in summer 2011.
