Ricasso’s debut album showcases the songwriting ability and originality brought him to the attention of the Canadian indie music press.
Rock anthems like the title track “Disgraceland”, “Children in the Desert” and “Slidin’ Home” are ignited out by a tight band featuring Dale Swistun on guitar, Corey Hildebrand on bass, Lou Fontaine on drums and Ross Nykiforuk on keyboards. But the album also has other sides as well, like the emotional “Any Other Lie” and introspective “Numbly into Bright Red Light” with it’s twisted story of a deadly auto accident.
