The Strangers
Mystery Flavor
Indie
Mystery Flavor brings smooth funky grooves and prismatic rhythms together for an unforgettable journey full of root-infused rock. The Strangers are Regan Rodrigue, Jacob Callais, Cody Duet, and Rocky Kiffe, and although they may be new strange, Rodrigue’s strong killer vocals will soon make this band a common name among local music lovers. Rodrigue’s silky smooth voice is extremely polished and can hold a note on “Comin’ To You” and “Heaven’s Gonna Fall” that will have screaming groupies wanting more at their live shows. There’s also some great funky bass work thrown into the mix with rapping lyrics like on “Into The Sun” (think Barenaked Ladies hooks up with The Meters). The guys also bring a catchy ballad with an Incubus flavor on “All I Meant To Say.” This band is definitely one to keep your eye on—with rock-throttling tunes like “Roll With Me,” many locals should take a chance and catch The Strangers. –Sheri McKee
