I try to record as many live sounds as I can, always keeping the melodies simple, abut then use the tools available in the mix to create a deeper, and more expansive sound. This tune developed out of some samples that i took out of my debut album, Verses in Enigmatics. The bass line and horn lines and piano come from that album. I then wrote and recorded the cello parts and the percussion parts with the assistance of Samm Bennett and Mayumi Sano, and chopped and changed those recordings a little more, before mixing them all with multiple delays and reverbs in use to create new textures and moments of tension and release.
