County Donegal in north-west Ireland has always been a strong well-spring of musical talent. Traditional music inspired acts like Clannad, Altan and Enya are the well known ones but there has always been a strong undercurrent of rock and blues musicians.
Ancient people are among the best of the current crop. The guys in the band have been playing around Donegal in various combinations for years and in this particular form for the last two years.
Three of the four members are in their middle sixties and, though no longer harbouring thoughts of fame, still wish their music to spread as far as possible. If you like rootsy, soulfull music then this is for you.
