Jim Ashton’s first solo project is an acoustic oriented mix of contemporary Bluegrass Banjo music containing nine original tunes. A fixture in the Charlotte, NC music community, Jim has played or recorded with singer song writers Jonathan Birchfield, Michael Reno Harrell, Cris Cook , Lacy Green and as a touring member of the Cast Iron Filter and The Carter Brothers Band. Jim plays banjo and guitar on his new CD which was produced and engineered by Patrick Crouch and includes Nashville musicians Ross Sermons and Tim Lorsch as well as North Carolinians Reggie Harris, Jaret Carter, and Galax Fiddle Champion Glen Alexander.
